Administrative Support

Bulletin Assembly Teams meet weekly (Friday mornings) to stuff, fold, and staple weekly worship bulletins.

Weekly Offering Counters come to the church office each week to count our Sunday and special offerings and to prepare them for deposit into King of Glory accounts.

Newsletter Assembly Teams typically gathers on the last Friday of each month to staple, fold and sort the monthly newsletter for distribution to the congregation.

Office Volunteers greet guests and answer phones in the front office or may be needed to do various duties such as mailings, folding, etc.

Worship Service Opportunities

Sunday Morning Hosts/Hostesses are split into an early and late shift to oversee our Sunday life by making sure doors get opened and locked, coffee and other things are set out and cleaned up, just as a host or hostess would when hosting a gathering at home.

Greeters welcome worshippers to Sunday morning worship at the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.

Ushers are needed for all Sunday and special occasion services to provide hospitality and to perform a number of functions in support of our worship life.

Lectors assist in Sunday worship by reading the appointed lesson or lessons for each Sunday. Classes on being an effective lector are offered periodically.

Worship Assistants serve in Sunday worship by chanting liturgy and/or assisting with communion.

Acolytes are usually children and youth from grades 4 – 8 who assist in worship by lighting and extinguishing candles, carrying the processional cross and performing other duties. This ministry is also open to older youth and adults.

Sound Technicians insures adequate sound levels are maintained and recordings made of worship services, special congregational events (musicals, plays, etc.), and weddings.

Live Stream Operator handles live streaming & the interface with our YouTube channel which is also streamed on our website.

Computer/Projector Operators insure the proper song lyrics, prayers and liturgy are projected at the proper time during worship services and special events.

Chancel Guild assumes responsibility for the important function of weekly set-up of the paraments, altar linens, candles and sacramental elements for each service.

The Sanctuary Choir leads the congregation in the liturgy and provides a musical proclamation of the Word at our Sunday 8:30 a.m. service from September through June. They also sing for other special services or events throughout the year.

The KOG Praise Team leads worship at the Sunday 10:30 am service. Praise team rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.
