Congregational Leadership

Every member is a minister; some are called to use their gifts in congregational leadership.

An annual meeting of the congregation is held every year, usually at the end of January, to review the ministry of the past year, to adopt a budget for the coming year, and to elect leaders for the congregation.

The Congregation Council is the primary leadership group within the congregation. Members are elected to the Council at our annual congregational meeting.

The Women’s Ministry Board provides leadership for the Women’s Ministry at King of Glory.

Task Forces and Ministry Teams are formed, as needed, to provide leadership for short or long term projects for ministry needs at King of Glory. Those with specific gifts are asked to provide leadership for these ministries. Our current task forces are: Facility Renewal, Community Building, Community Outreach, Hospitality, and Alternative Revenue.

Foundation Board (Endowment Committee) oversees investments for the KOG Foundation and determines where earnings are spent for programs like scholarships or other ministries within or beyond the Congregation.

Voting Members for the Annual Synod Assembly are elected each year to participate in the springtime meeting of our synod’s congregations and leadership.
