Facility Care & Maintenance Ministry

King of Glory Lutheran Church
Facility Care & Maintenance Ministry

Campus Renovation. Like our homes, from time to time, major remodeling is needed to put our church campus back into optimal working order. We have just completed a major renovation of our campus to increase its functionality and enhance its beauty.

On an ongoing basis specific skills are needed from within our membership in order to maintain our facilities and keep them in good working order. These skills include:

  • Carpentry: construct or repair various items including installing doors, windows, etc.
  • Finish Woodworking: construct, repair, finish/refinish cabinets, furniture, etc.
  • Electrical: Repair or install light fixtures, switches, outlets, etc.
  • Electronic: install or maintain electronic items such as DVD players, TV’s, microwave ovens, office equipment, including computers, etc.
  • Plumbing: repair or install plumbing fixtures.
  • Gardening: prune, trim, weed, plant shrubs, trees, etc.
  • Painting: paint church/preschool facilities, etc.

Monthly Work Days take place on the first Monday of each month, from 9:00 a.m. - noon, to give members with the skills listed above the chance to use them on projects identified by the leaders of our Property Ministry Team.

Special Work Days, usually held on a Saturday a few times a year, provide opportunities for a broader network of members to help with campus clean-up or repair projects.

Pew Mice are volunteers who help to make sure items in the pews are clean, straightened, and well stocked for Sunday and special worship services.
